The Wahluke Warriors (Mattawa, WA) basketball knocked off the visiting Kiona-Benton Bears (Benton City, WA), 43-35 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Warriors (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Royal (Royal City, WA). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 4-0 record. In their last test, Royal notched a victory over Connell (Connell, WA), 51-28, in a non-league test.
The Bears now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they host College Place for a non-league test on Friday, January 12. Kiona-Benton will encounter a Hawks squad coming off a 39-20 non-league loss to Naches Valley (Naches, WA). The Hawks record now stands at 2-3.
