The Valley Vikings (Gilcrest, CO) basketball nipped the host Sterling Tigers (Sterling, CO), 31-26 in Tuesday's league test.

The Vikings (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Frontier Academy (Greeley, CO). The Wolverines go into the test with a 3-2 record.

The Tigers now own a 2-4 record. They play next when they travel to Eaton for a test on Thursday, January 11. Sterling will encounter a Reds squad coming off a 60-24 non-league win over Platte Valley (Kersey, CO). The Reds record now stands at 2-4.
