Boardman Spartans (Youngstown, OH) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Austintown-Fitch Falcons (Youngstown, OH), 43-41 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Boardman upgrades its record to 2-2 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Harding (Warren, OH) to play the Raiders in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Raiders come into the bout with a record of 3-0.
Next up, the Falcons play the Howland Tigers (Warren, OH) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Austintown-Fitch will attempt to upgrade on its 8-2 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 2-1 record after their 50-34 non-league win over Poland Seminary (Poland, OH).
