Washington High School Basketball - Mercer Island knocked off by Bellevue

The Bellevue Wolverines basketball team scored 79 points and held the host Mercer Island Islanders to 61 in the Wolverines non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Wolverines now sport a 7-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mount Si for a non-league contest on Friday, January 12. Bellevue will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 53-43 non-league win over Liberty (Issaquah, WA). The Wildcats record now stands at 8-1.
The Islanders (4-7) will now prepare for their contest against Lake Washington (Kirkland, WA). The Kangaroos enter the non-league contest with a 8-4 record. In their last contest, Lake Washington ran past Juanita (Kirkland, WA), 77-33, in a non-league contest.
