Coronado Islanders (Coronado, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lincoln Hornets (San Diego, CA), 43-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Coronado upgrades its record to 6-7 on the season. The Islanders host Scripps Ranch (San Diego, CA) to play the Falcons in a bout on Friday, January 12. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 8-7. Scripps Ranch won 61-51 in their recent league bout against University City (San Diego, CA)

Next up, the Hornets play the Mount Miguel Matadors (Spring Valley, CA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. Lincoln will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record.
