The El Capitan Vaqueros basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting El Cajon Valley Braves to 43 in the Vaqueros league triumph on Tuesday.
The Vaqueros now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Santana for a contest on Friday, January 12. El Capitan will battle a Sultans team coming off a 48-47 league loss to Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA). The Sultans record now stands at 4-4.
The Braves (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against Christian (El Cajon, CA). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 12-4 record. In their last contest, Christian was defeated by Patrick Henry (San Diego, CA), 52-48, in a league contest.
