South Spartans (Bakersfield, CA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Tehachapi Warriors (Tehachapi, CA), 36-26 in a league bout.

With the win, South upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season. The Spartans travel to Del Oro (Bakersfield, CA) to play the Sun in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 18. The Sun go into the bout with a record of 0-14.

Next up, the Warriors play the North Stars (Bakersfield, CA) in a game, on Tuesday, January 16. Tehachapi will attempt to move on its 4-6 season record. The Stars enter the game with a 1-0 record after their 46-39 non-league win over Edison (Fresno, CA).
