The Hornets now sport a 6-7 record. They play next when they host Wayne County for a non-league test on Friday, January 12. East Central will meet a War Eagles squad coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Moss Point (Moss Point, MS). The War Eagles record now stands at 8-7.

With the loss, Vancleave drops to 5-5 on the season. The Bulldogs host Gautier (Gautier, MS) to meet the Gators in a 5A Region 4 test on Thursday, January 11. The Gators come into the test with a record of 4-8. Gautier lost 3-2 in their recent league test against Stone (Wiggins, MS)
