The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the American Falls Beavers (American Falls, ID) and the visiting South Fremont Cougars (St. Anthony, ID), observed American Falls's basketball team overcome South Fremont by a margin of 53-36.

The Beavers (8-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Gooding (Gooding, ID). The Senators come into the non-league challenge with a 5-6 record. In their last challenge, Gooding dropped by Filer (Filer, ID), 41-38, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars battle the Snake River Panthers (Blackfoot, ID) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 11. South Fremont will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 9-1 record after their 53-44 non-league win over Teton (Driggs, ID).
