The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Bayfield Trollers (Bayfield, WI) and the visiting Washburn Castle Guards (Washburn, WI), observed Bayfield's basketball team edge Washburn by a score of 68-65.

The Trollers (7-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mellen (Mellen, WI). The Granite Diggers come into the Northern Lights challenge with a 7-1 record. In their last challenge, Mellen edged Lac Courte Oreilles (Hayward, WI), 80-45, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Castle Guards encounter the Butternut Midgets (Butternut, WI) in a Northern Lights challenge, on Monday, January 13. Washburn will attempt to improve on its 5-5 season record.
