The Buchanan Bucks basketball team scored 65 points and limited the visiting Dowagiac Chieftains to 38 in the Bucks non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bucks now have a 7-3 record. They play next when they host Saugatuck for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. Buchanan will confront a Trailblazers team coming off a 66-47 league win over Black River (Holland, MI). The Trailblazers record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, Dowagiac falls to 0-10 on the campaign. The Chieftains host New Buffalo (New Buffalo, MI) to confront the Bison in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 14. The Bison go into the game with a record of 9-3. New Buffalo won 62-58 in their recent league game against River Valley (Three Oaks, MI)
