The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Lakeville Falcons (Otisville, MI) and the host Byron Eagles (Byron, MI), observed Lakeville's basketball team edge Byron by a margin of 70-67.

The Falcons (3-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Ovid-Elsie (Elsie, MI). The Marauders come into the Mid-Michigan challenge with a 7-2 record. In their last challenge, Ovid-Elsie edged Birch Run (Birch Run, MI), 63-36, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the New Lothrop Hornets (New Lothrop, MI) in a Mid-Michigan challenge, on Monday, January 13. Byron will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record.
