In Thursday's league test, the Palmetto Mustangs (Williamston, SC) basketball squad defeated the visiting Carolina Academy Trojans (Greenville, SC), by a final score of 63-52.
Next, the Mustangs clash with the Christ Church Episcopal Cavaliers (Greenville, SC) in a AAA Region 2 test, on Tuesday, January 14. Palmetto will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Cavaliers come into the test with a 9-3 record after their 48-43 league win over St. Joseph's Catholic (Greenville, SC).
The Trojans (0-14) will now prepare for their test against Southside Christian (Simpsonville, SC). The Sabres come into the AAA Region 2 test with a 8-5 record. In their last test, Southside Christian overcame Greenville Tech Charter (Greenville, SC), 39-34, in a non-league test.
