In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Century Panthers basketball team scored a close 82-75 triumph over the Faribault Falcons.

The Panthers (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Mayo (Rochester, MN). The Spartans go into the AAAA Section 1 contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Mayo was tipped by Mankato East (Mankato, MN), 73-46, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Falcons battle the John Marshall Rockets (Rochester, MN) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 11. Faribault will attempt to better on its 8-2 season record. The Rockets go into the contest with a 8-2 record after their 63-58 league win over Owatonna (Owatonna, MN).
