The Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) basketball edged the host East Hall Vikings (Gainesville, GA), 76-72 in Thursday's league bout.
The Bears now possess a 17-1 record. They play next when they host Oconee County for a AAA Region 8 bout on Tuesday, January 14. Cherokee Bluff will play a Warriors team coming off a 73-59 league win over West Hall (Oakwood, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 7-10.
With the loss, East Hall falls to 13-3 on the campaign. The Vikings host Jefferson (Jefferson, GA) to play the Dragons in a AAA Region 8 bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Dragons go into the bout with a record of 11-4. Jefferson won 58-41 in their recent league bout against Monroe Area (Monroe, GA)
