In Thursday's league test, the Eau Claire Shamrocks (Columbia, SC) basketball squad trounced the host Chester Cyclones (Chester, SC), by a score of 74-44.
Next, the Shamrocks encounter the Fairfield Central Griffins (Winnsboro, SC) in a AA Region 3 test, on Tuesday, January 14. Eau Claire will attempt to improve on its 7-0 season record. The Griffins come into the test with a 5-6 record after their 51-47 non-league win over Newberry (Newberry, SC).
The Cyclones (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Mid-Carolina (Prosperity, SC). The Rebels come into the AA Region 3 test with a 2-10 record. In their last test, Mid-Carolina was routed by Strom Thurmond (Johnston, SC), 44-29, in a non-league test.
