The Copiah Academy Colonels bounced the visiting East Rankin Academy Patriots basketball squad by a final score of 67-42 in Thursday's non-league outing.
Next, the Colonels face the Oak Forest Academy Yellowjackets (Amite, LA) in a non-league outing, on Saturday, January 11. Copiah Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the outing with a 19-2 record after their 60-37 league win over Parklane Academy (McComb, MS).
The Patriots (0-11) will now prepare for their outing against Park Place Christian Academy (Pearl, MS). The Crusaders enter the MAIS 5A District 2 outing with a 3-13 record. In their last outing, Park Place Christian Academy was overwhelmed by Leake Academy (Madden, MS), 54-44, in a league outing.
