The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Timber Lake Panthers (Timber Lake, SD) and the host Faith Longhorns (Faith, SD), observed Timber Lake's basketball team overwhelm Faith by a score of 71-43.

The Panthers (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Wakpala (Wakpala, SD). The Sioux come into the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Wakpala trounced Tiospaye Topa (Ridgeview, SD), 65-38, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Longhorns encounter the Harding County Ranchers (Buffalo, SD) in a B Region 8 challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Faith will attempt to improve on its 2-3 season record. The Ranchers come into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 65-55 non-league loss to Belfield (Belfield, ND).
