In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Port Jervis Raiders basketball team scored a good 57-47 win over the Fallsburg Comets.

The Raiders (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY). The Dragons come into the non-league contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Cornwall Central defeated Valley Central (Montgomery, NY), 52-51, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Comets battle the Sullivan West Bulldogs (Lake Huntington, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County IV contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Fallsburg will attempt to better on its 1-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 2-4 record after their 60-36 league loss to Chester (Chester, NY).
