The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Shepaug Valley Spartans (Washington, CT) and the host Haddam-Killingworth Cougars (Higganum, CT), observed Shepaug Valley's basketball team overwhelm Haddam-Killingworth by a score of 84-46.
The Spartans (8-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Terryville (Terryville, CT). The Kangaroos come into the Berkshire challenge with a 0-4 record. In their last challenge, Terryville was routed by Lakeview (Litchfield, CT), 69-52, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Cougars encounter the Old Saybrook Rams (Old Saybrook, CT) in a Shoreline challenge, on Friday, January 10. Haddam-Killingworth will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 58-43 non-league loss to East Lyme (East Lyme, CT).
