The Springwood Wildcats nipped the host Macon-East Montgomery Academy Knights basketball squad by a final score of 43-37 in Thursday's league outing.

Next, the Wildcats face the Southern Prep Academy Fighting Rangers (Camp Hill, AL) in a AISA AA Region 1 outing, on Tuesday, January 14. Springwood will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record.

The Knights (4-11) will now prepare for their outing against Valiant Cross Academy (Montgomery, AL). The Warriors enter the non-league outing with a 17-1 record. In their last outing, Valiant Cross Academy got by Lowndes Academy (Lowndesboro, AL), 61-38, in a league outing.
