In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Zimmerman Thunder basketball team scored a big 82-58 triumph over the North Branch Vikings.
The Thunder (11-3) will now prepare for their contest against Chisago Lakes Area (Lindstrom, MN). The Wildcats go into the non-league contest with a 1-11 record. In their last contest, Chisago Lakes Area was trounced by Cambridge-Isanti (Cambridge, MN), 80-43, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Vikings battle the Rock Ridge co-op [Eveleth-Gilbert/Virginia] Wolverines (Eveleth, MN) in a AAA Section 7 contest, on Saturday, January 11. North Branch will attempt to better on its 2-9 season record.
