The South Plainfield Tigers basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting North Brunswick North Brunswick Raiders to 44 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Tigers now have a 8-1 record. They play next when they travel to Woodbridge for a non-league game on Saturday, January 11. South Plainfield will confront a Barrons team coming off a 57-37 non-league win over South Brunswick (Monmouth Junction, NJ). The Barrons record now stands at 4-4.

With the loss, North Brunswick falls to 1-8 on the campaign. The North brunswick raiders travel to East Brunswick (East Brunswick, NJ) to confront the Bears in a non-league game on Saturday, January 11. The Bears go into the game with a record of 5-7. East Brunswick won 79-53 in their recent non-league game against Sayreville (Parlin, NJ)
