The Comets (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Durant (Durant, IA). The Wildcats come into the River Valley challenge with a 2-9 record. In their last challenge, Durant was routed by Danville (Danville, IA), 56-50, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Knights encounter the Springville Orioles (Springville, IA) in a Tri-Rivers challenge, on Friday, January 10. North Cedar will attempt to improve on its 0-10 season record. The Orioles come into the challenge with a 5-4 record after their 79-50 league loss to North Linn (Troy Mills, IA).
