Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Tamaqua nips North Schuylkill

The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Tamaqua Blue Raiders (Tamaqua, PA) and the visiting North Schuylkill Spartans (Ashland, PA), observed Tamaqua's basketball team edge North Schuylkill by a score of 62-60.

The Blue Raiders (5-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Lincoln Leadership Academy (Allentown, PA). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 11-2 record. In their last challenge, Lincoln Leadership Academy edged Valley Forge Baptist Academy (Collegeville, PA), 54-37, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Spartans battle the Mahanoy Area Golden Bears (Mahanoy City, PA) in a Schuylkill County 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. North Schuylkill will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record.
