In Thursday's league contest, the host Phil Campbell Bobcats basketball team scored a good 55-42 triumph over the Sheffield Bulldogs.
The Bobcats (10-13) will now prepare for their contest against Russellville (Russellville, AL). The Golden Tigers go into the non-league contest with a 9-5 record. In their last contest, Russellville topped Lawrence County (Moulton, AL), 67-66, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Mars Hill Bible Panthers (Florence, AL) in a 3A Area 15 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Sheffield will attempt to better on its 7-6 season record.
