North Carolina High School Basketball - Southwestern Randolph succumbs to Wheatmore

January 9, 2025: Asheboro, NC 27205

In Thursday's league test, the Wheatmore Warriors (Trinity, NC) basketball squad defeated the host Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC), by a score of 62-52.

Next, the Warriors clash with the Providence Grove Patriots (Franklinville, NC) in a 1A/2A Piedmont test, on Friday, January 17. Wheatmore will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Patriots come into the test with a 6-8 record after their 84-51 league loss to Randleman (Randleman, NC).

The Cougars (5-10) will now prepare for their test against Uwharrie Charter Academy (Asheboro, NC). The Eagles come into the 1A/2A Piedmont test with a 13-3 record.
