High School Basketball - Vanguard Christian thwarts Varsity Opponent

The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Vanguard Christian Knights (Boerne, TX) and the host Varsity Opponent (, ), observed Vanguard Christian's basketball team knock off Varsity Opponent by a score of 50-38.

The Knights (12-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Founders Classical Academy (Schertz, TX). The Hoplites come into the non-league challenge with a 13-2 record. In their last challenge, Founders Classical Academy prevailed over IDEA Ingram Hills (San Antonio, TX), 56-11, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the encounter the Denver Academy of Torah Wolves (Denver, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 9. Varsity Opponent will attempt to improve on its 255-943 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 5-0 record after their 64-35 non-league win over Denver Eagles Christian HomeSchool (Denver, CO).
