The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the West Cabarrus Wolverines (Concord, NC) and the host A.L. Brown Wonders (Kannapolis, NC), observed West Cabarrus's basketball team overwhelm A.L. Brown by a margin of 82-50.

The Wolverines (10-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC). The Blue Devils come into the 4A Greater Metro challenge with a 4-9 record. In their last challenge, Mooresville was trounced by South Iredell (Statesville, NC), 48-44, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wonders battle the South Iredell Vikings (Statesville, NC) in a 4A Greater Metro challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. A.L. Brown will attempt to better on its 4-9 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 4-11 record after their 48-44 league win over Mooresville (Mooresville, NC).
