The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Amity Regional Spartans (Woodbridge, CT) and the host Guilford Grizzlies (Guilford, CT), observed Amity Regional's basketball team knock off Guilford by a score of 49-31.
The Spartans (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Foran (Milford, CT). The Lions come into the non-league challenge with a 8-2 record. In their last challenge, Foran prevailed over Wilbur Cross (New Haven, CT), 69-43, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Grizzlies encounter the Holy Cross Crusaders (Waterbury, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Guilford will attempt to improve on its 2-5 season record.
