The Watertown-Mayer Royals basketball team scored 65 points and limited the visiting Annandale Cardinals to 57 in the Royals non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Royals now possess a 8-6 record. They play next when they travel to Dassel-Cokato for a AA Section 5 game on Tuesday, January 14. Watertown-Mayer will confront a Chargers team coming off a 69-58 league win over Rockford (Rockford, MN). The Chargers record now stands at 11-6.
With the loss, Annandale falls to 9-3 on the campaign. The Cardinals host Legacy Christian Academy (Andover, MN) to confront the Lions in a AA Section 6 game on Monday, January 13. The Lions go into the game with a record of 11-3.
