In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Seymour Wildcats basketball team scored a good 50-35 triumph over the Ansonia Chargers.

The Wildcats (7-2) will now prepare for their contest against Watertown (Watertown, CT). The Indians go into the Naugatuck Valley - 2 contest with a 0-0 record.

In their next game, the Chargers battle the Oxford Wolverines (Oxford, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley - 2 contest, on Wednesday, January 15. Ansonia will attempt to better on its 3-2 season record.
