In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Barron Golden Bears basketball team scored a big 45-22 triumph over the Ashland Oredockers.

The Golden Bears (7-6) will now prepare for their contest against Spooner (Spooner, WI). The Rails go into the Heart O'North contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Spooner was trounced by St. Croix Falls (St. Croix Falls, WI), 54-26, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Oredockers battle the Northwestern Tigers (Maple, WI) in a Heart O'North contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Ashland will attempt to better on its 1-10 season record.
