The Atkins Camels basketball squad (Winston-Salem, NC), was outscored 53-39 in Thursday's league battle with the host Northeast Guilford Rams (McLeansville, NC)

With the victory, Northeast Guilford advances its record to 4-9 on the year. The Rams host NCSSM: Durham (Durham, NC) to meet the Unicorns in a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 15. The Unicorns enter the battle with a record of 4-6.

The Camels now own a 2-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to High Point Central for a 3A Mid-State battle on Tuesday, January 14. Atkins will meet a Bison squad coming off a 56-10 league loss to Rockingham County (Wentworth, NC). The Bison record now stands at 0-12.
