North Carolina High School Basketball - SouthWest Edgecombe overwhelms Ayden - Grifton

The SouthWest Edgecombe Cougars basketball team scored 62 points and limited the host Ayden - Grifton Chargers to 30 in the Cougars league triumph on Thursday.

The Cougars now possess a 10-1 record. They play next when they host Washington for a 2A Eastern Plains game on Friday, January 17. SouthWest Edgecombe will confront a Pam Pack team coming off a 51-28 league loss to North Pitt (Bethel, NC). The Pam Pack record now stands at 0-10.

With the loss, Ayden - Grifton falls to 2-13 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to North Lenoir (LaGrange, NC) to confront the Hawks in a non-league game on Friday, January 17. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 4-8.
