Minnesota High School Basketball - Bigfork nips Cherry

The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Bigfork Huskies (Bigfork, MN) and the visiting Cherry Tigers (Iron, MN), observed Bigfork's basketball team edge Cherry by a margin of 51-47.

The Huskies (9-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Mesabi East (Aurora, MN). The Giants come into the non-league challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Mesabi East edged Carlton/Wrenshall (Carlton, MN), 58-24, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Littlefork-Big Falls Vikings (Littlefork, MN) in a A Section 7 challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Cherry will attempt to better on its 5-9 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 63-23 league loss to Deer River (Deer River, MN).
