California High School Basketball - Branham thwarts Leland

January 9, 2025: San Jose, CA 95120

The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Branham Bruins (San Jose, CA) and the host Leland Chargers (San Jose, CA), observed Branham's basketball team knock off Leland by a score of 58-44.

The Bruins (8-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Evergreen Valley (San Jose, CA). The Cougars come into the Blossom Valley - Mt. Hamilton challenge with a 11-3 record. In their last challenge, Evergreen Valley prevailed over Christopher (Gilroy, CA), 55-50, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Chargers encounter the Prospect Panthers (Saratoga, CA) in a Blossom Valley - Mt. Hamilton challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Leland will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 9-3 record after their 57-38 non-league win over Leigh (San Jose, CA).
