The Calhoun Academy Cougars basketball team scored 44 points and limited the visiting Delta Academy Raiders to 38 in the Cougars league triumph on Thursday.

The Cougars now have a 18-10 record. They play next when they travel to Tunica Academy for a non-league game on Monday, January 13. Calhoun Academy will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 54-41 league loss to DeSoto (West Helena, AR). The Blue Devils record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, Delta Academy falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Hernando (Hernando, MS) to confront the Tigers in a non-league game on Saturday, January 11. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 14-5. Hernando won 55-50 in their recent league game against Southaven (Southaven, MS)
