The Sutton Mustangs basketball squad (Sutton, NE), was outscored 52-41 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Cross County Cougars (Stromsburg, NE)

With the victory, Cross County advances its record to 10-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Heartland (Henderson, NE) to meet the Huskies in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 11. The Huskies enter the battle with a record of 4-4. Heartland won 60-31 in their recent non-league battle against Riverside (Cedar Rapids, NE)

The Mustangs now own a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Centennial for a non-league battle on Friday, January 10. Sutton will meet a Broncos squad coming off a 50-39 non-league loss to Northwest (Grand Island, NE). The Broncos record now stands at 2-6.
