In Thursday's league contest, the visiting DeKalb Barbs basketball team scored a good 39-29 triumph over the Neuqua Valley Wildcats.

The Barbs (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Belvidere North (Belvidere, IL). The Blue Thunder go into the non-league contest with a 5-11 record. In their last contest, Belvidere North was topped by Guilford (Rockford, IL), 56-23, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Naperville North Huskies (Naperville, IL) in a DuPage Valley contest, on Thursday, January 16. Neuqua Valley will attempt to better on its 8-11 season record. The Huskies go into the contest with a 7-11 record after their 55-49 non-league loss to Wheaton North (Wheaton, IL).
