The Erath Bobcats basketball team scored 42 points and limited the visiting Highland Baptist Christian Bears to 20 in the Bobcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bobcats now possess a 7-7 record. They play next when they host Crowley for a non-league game on Friday, January 10. Erath will confront a Gent team coming off a 47-42 non-league loss to Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy (Youngsville, LA). The Gent record now stands at 6-10.

With the loss, Highland Baptist Christian falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Bears host Gueydan (Gueydan, LA) to confront the Bears in a 1A District 6 game on Tuesday, January 14. The Bears go into the game with a record of 0-15.
