In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Garden Valley Wolverines basketball team scored a big 69-30 triumph over the Idaho City Wildcats.

The Wolverines (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Salmon River (Riggins, ID). The Savages go into the 1A Long Pin battle with a 6-2 record. In their last battle, Salmon River was crushed by Homedale (Homedale, ID), 49-22, in a non-league battle.

The Wildcats now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Riverstone International for a 2A Western Idaho battle on Friday, January 10. Idaho City will meet a Otters squad coming off a 42-30 league loss to Compass Charter (Meridian, ID). The Otters record now stands at 2-3.
