In Thursday's league test, the Grant Park Dragons (Grant Park, IL) basketball squad defeated the visiting Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers (Gardner, IL), by a final score of 27-19.

Next, the Dragons clash with the Wilmington Wildcats (Wilmington, IL) in a non-league test, on Saturday, January 11. Grant Park will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 12-4 record after their 42-24 league win over Peotone (Peotone, IL).

The Panthers (4-14) will now prepare for their test against Beecher (Beecher, IL). The Bobcats come into the River Valley test with a 5-9 record. In their last test, Beecher overcame Illinois Lutheran (Crete, IL), 62-26, in a league test.
