Georgia High School Basketball - Glascock County bested by Hancock Central

January 9, 2025: Gibson, GA 30810

Hancock Central Bulldogs (Sparta, GA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Glascock County Panthers (Gibson, GA), 53-35 in a league match.

With the victory, Hancock Central advances its record to 6-6 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Glenn Hills (Augusta, GA) to meet the Spartans in a non-league match on Saturday, January 11. The Spartans enter the match with a record of 0-4. Glenn Hills lost 65-14 in their recent league match against Burke County (Waynesboro, GA)

The Panthers now own a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wilkinson County for a A D2 Region 5 match on Tuesday, January 14. Glascock County will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 45-32 league win over Twiggs County (Jeffersonville, GA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-13.
