In Thursday's non-league test, the Green Mountain Chieftains (Chester, VT) basketball squad defeated the visiting Mt. St. Joseph Academy Green Wave (Rutland, VT), by a final score of 38-23.

Next, the Chieftains clash with the White River Valley Wildcats (Royalton, VT) in a Marble Valley - C test, on Tuesday, January 14. Green Mountain will attempt to upgrade on its 5-2 season record. The Wildcats come into the test with a 6-1 record after their 52-48 non-league win over Springfield (Springfield, VT).

The Green Wave (1-3) will now prepare for their test against Poultney (Poultney, VT). The Blue Devils come into the Marble Valley - D test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Poultney went down by Rivendell Academy (Orford, NH), 43-33, in a non-league test.
