The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Hickory Hornets (Hermitage, PA) and the visiting Grove City Eagles (Grove City, PA), observed Hickory's basketball team edge Grove City by a score of 38-37.

The Hornets (4-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Greenville (Greenville, PA). The Trojans come into the District 10 Region 4 challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Greenville edged Sharon (Sharon, PA), 58-33, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the Mercer Mustangs (Mercer, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Grove City will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Mustangs come into the challenge with a 4-6 record after their 75-43 league loss to Kennedy Catholic (Hermitage, PA).
