In Thursday's league contest, the host Gwynedd Mercy Academy Monarchs basketball team scored a good 48-37 triumph over the Mt. St. Joseph Academy Magic.
The Monarchs (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Merion Mercy Academy (Merion Station, PA). The Golden Bears go into the Catholic Academies contest with a 5-7 record.
In their next game, the Magic confront the Academy-Notre Dame De Namur (Villanova, PA) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 11. Mt. St. Joseph Academy will attempt to better on its 5-7 season record. The go into the contest with a 15-0 record after their 61-27 league win over Episcopal Academy (Newtown Square, PA).
