The Highland Fighting Scots basketball squad (Marengo, OH), was nudged 45-40 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Pleasant Spartans (Marion, OH)

With the victory, Pleasant advances its record to 10-5 on the year. The Spartans host River Valley (Caledonia, OH) to meet the Vikings in a Mid-Ohio battle on Saturday, January 11. The Vikings enter the battle with a record of 4-9. River Valley lost 47-38 in their recent league battle against Ontario (Ontario, OH)

The Fighting Scots now own a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Marion Harding for a Mid-Ohio battle on Saturday, January 11. Highland will meet a Presidents squad coming off a 61-34 league loss to Shelby (Shelby, OH). The Presidents record now stands at 5-7.
