Maine High School Basketball - Sumner knocks off Jonesport-Beals

In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Sumner Tigers basketball team scored a good 57-47 win over the Jonesport-Beals Royals.
The Tigers (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Deer Isle-Stonington (Deer Isle, ME). The Mariners come into the non-league contest with a 1-9 record. In their last contest, Deer Isle-Stonington was topped by Shead (Eastport, ME), 58-30, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Royals battle the Bangor Christian Patriots (Bangor, ME) in a D North contest, on Saturday, January 11. Jonesport-Beals will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Patriots come into the contest with a 8-2 record after their 54-5 non-league win over Searsport (Searsport, ME).
