In Thursday's league contest, the visiting Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial Knights basketball team scored a close 68-65 win over the Maple River Eagles.

The Knights (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Heritage Christian Academy (Maple Grove, MN). The Eagles come into the non-league contest with a 4-4 record. In their last contest, Heritage Christian Academy was tipped by Mayer Lutheran (Mayer, MN), 92-21, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Eagles battle the LaMoure/Litchville-Marion Loboes (LaMoure, ND) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 10. Maple River will attempt to better on its 6-15 season record. The Loboes come into the contest with a 7-3 record after their 51-25 non-league win over Enderlin (Enderlin, ND).
